Podcasting appears to have become all the rage. Even, I, your humble blogger, became involved with podcasting before I ventured into blogging. The podcast that I'm involved with is called The Signal and was started as a guerilla marketing tool to generate publicity for the movie Serenity. It's currently in it's second season and the goal of the podcast is now to attempt to convince The Powers That Be that Serenity deserves to be a part of a trilogy.
While I was driving home I thought of a great new idea for a new podcast. I'm not going to go into the details here about it, but I was somewhat relieved to have finally come up with an idea that is somewhat original. I say somewhat because when I was discussing it with my friend, Erin, it turns out that she's in the process of doing the same type of writing. Now I'm not sure whether my idea is really mine or whether she and I had discussed this at one point, but hopefully the podcasting feature will be something the both of us can cash in on.
With my company's acquisition and my transfer up to Eugene, I lost my desire to listen to my regular podcasts like Slice of SciFI with Michael and Evo, Geek Fu Action Grip with Mur Lafferty, and The Seanachai by Patrick McLean to name a few. Recently, I started listening to some of the episodes I had missed and have caught the bug again. I spent this evening cleaning out my podcast list on iTunes and downloaded the most recent episodes. So, the bug is back which is why I think I came up with my fantabulous idea for my podcast - finally. HOORAY!
So, I'm off for the evening to go flesh out the details and convince Erin that she should join me in this endeavor. And to think of a name......
